KATMANDU: Nepal's King Gyanendra could soon restore some of the civil liberties he suspended after seizing power last month, the foreign minister said yesterday, a day after the government released several political detainees and promised to restore mobile phone services.
“Let me assure you that the temporary suspension of the rights of our citizens will be revoked sooner (rather) than later,'' Foreign Minister Ramesh Nath Pandey said.
