KATHMANDU: Nepal's main royalist party urged King Gyanendra yesterday to lift curbs on political parties, release all detainees and restore fundamental rights suspended since the monarch imposed emergency rule.
The political parties and the fundamental rights are the pillars of constitutional monarchy, said Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) president Pashupati Shamsher Rana.
