BANGKOK: Thailand refuted yesterday charges made in a lawsuit filed in the United States, that it had failed in its duty to warn people about the Indian Ocean tsunami which killed some 300,000 people, as groundless.
Thailand and its government agencies did not fail to perform their duties, Thai Foreign Ministry spokesman Sihasak Phuanketkeow said.
