MANILA: Authorities have arrested two Indonesians and a Malaysian believed to be members of the regional militant group Jemaah Islamiah (JI) who allegedly plotted bomb attacks in key Philippine cities that were thwarted by their arrests, officials said yesterday.
The three were arrested in the southern port city of Zamboanga in December along with a Filipino from the Abu Sayyaf Muslim extremist group, but their arrests were not announced to allow authorities to track their companions, police officials said.
