JAKARTA: Indonesia plans to raise fuel prices to curb demand and reduce its hefty outlays on fuel subsidies, Economic Minister Aburizal Bakrie said yesterday.
The price hike could reduce the amount the government pays on fuel subsidies in the 2005 budget by up to 50 trillion rupiah (RM20bil), said Bakrie.
