PHNOM PENH: Health experts will ramp up surveillance for bird flu in Cambodia after a woman was confirmed to have died of the disease in the country's first human fatality, Cambodia's Health Ministry and the World Health Organisation said yesterday.
The two agencies confirmed that a 25-year-old woman from the eastern province of Kampot died of bird flu on Jan 30, becoming Cambodia's first victim.
