SINGAPORE: Details of the next generation of the game console Xbox are most likely to be released in May, the BBC Online website reported yesterday.
May is when the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is held in Los Angeles.
Microsoft, the maker of Xbox, has confirmed that the console code-named Xenon would not debut at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in March.
The original Xbox was unveiled by Microsoft chief Bill Gates at GDC five years ago.
The buzz is that Xenon will hit the stores at years end.
Microsofts competitors in gaming, Sony and Nintendo, are also respectively expected to release PlayStation 3 and Revolution in the next 18 months. Straits Times/ANN
