NAGAPATTINAM: Relief workers raced yesterday to bury decaying corpses amid fears of disease as the death toll in India from Sunday's tsunami climbed above 9,000 and kept rising.
The biggest question mark hung over the fate of people in the far-flung Andaman and Nicobar islands which lie near the epicentre of the quake that sent waves crashing across the seas, killing over 60,000 in Asia.
