YANGON: A public relations worker was crowned yesterday as Myanmar's first beauty queen since the lifting of a 43-year-old ban on such pageants by the ruling military junta.
An excited Ei Yupar Win, 20, said she was looking forward to competing at a regional final in Jakarta along with other finalists from the Association of South-East Asian Nations (Asean) in February.
