JAKARTA: The death toll from a powerful earthquake and aftershocks in Indonesia hit 25 yesterday with fears it could rise even higher, an official said, as a relief team trekked to remote villages to offer help.
An 11-month-old baby girl became the latest to die yesterday following the tremors on Alor island near East Timor, said Alberth Ouwboly of the government relief centre in the island's main town of Kalabahi.
