OJIYA (Japan): Rescuers who saved a toddler buried for four days by Japan's deadliest earthquake in a decade were unable perform a second miracle for his sister yesterday, as close to 100,000 people remained in makeshift shelters.
Orange-clad members of a rescue unit worked through the night, braving aftershocks, to try to free three-year-old Mayu Minagawa from a massive landslide that had buried the family car, though they had detected no signs of life.
