SINGAPORE: Singapore's government expressed disappointment yesterday after pro-independence demonstrators in southern Taiwan burnt the city-state's national flag to protest against unwelcome criticism from Singapore.
The flag-burning was the latest in a series of angry Taiwanese reactions after Singapore's Foreign Minister George Yeo warned last month that pro-independence groups there risked provoking a war with China.
