SRINAGAR: An Australian woman has complained that she was held captive by two men in Indian Kashmir and sexually assaulted for two months in a houseboat, the police said yesterday.
The woman said she was held in the houseboat she had rented on reaching Srinagar on May 27 and was repeatedly raped by the two until she escaped on July 25, a police officer said.
Police said the 22-year-old was allegedly held by two brothers who owned the houseboat she had hired in Srinagar's picturesque Dal Lake.
The brothers had been arrested, the officer said. – AFP
