BEIJING: China lashed out at Western intervention in Tibet yesterday saying, as it marked the 100th anniversary of the “British invasion,” that any notion of independence for the Himalayan region was “an arrogant dream.”
In a commentary by the official Xinhua news agency to mark the “barbarous invasion by British troops in 1904,” it accused some Western governments of using Tibet for their own political purposes.
