CHEM-SOLV Technologies, which collects and treats waste chemicals, was fined S$225,000 (RM495,000) on Thursday over an industrial accident two years ago which killed three workers and caused five others to be hospitalised.
Between Sept 25 and Sept 30, 2002, all eight fell ill after inhaling toxic fumes while working at the water treatment plant at Chem-Solv's factory in Tuas.
