TAIPEI: Taiwan's political crisis deepened yesterday as the opposition sought to prevent Premier Yu Shyi-kun from delivering his Cabinet's first report to Parliament following a disputed presidential election.
Yu, from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), was able to enter the Legislative Yuan (Taiwan's parliament) only after he and his Cabinet bypassed dozens of slogan-chanting protesters outside.
