KATHMANDU: A man in a remote west Nepal village lost his son to religious superstition on Wednesday, the English-language daily Kathmandu Post reported yesterday.
Thirteen-year-old schoolboy Prem Sunar of Haukhola in Salyan district, about 350km west of the capital, was bitten by a snake at home mid-day on Wednesday, but was denied medical treatment by his devout Christian father who believed that his son would be saved by none other than Jesus Christ.
