SINGAPORE: A civil rights activist here was ordered yesterday to pay all court costs after losing an appeal to drop his bankruptcy status so he could legally run in the next elections.
Joshua Jeyaretnam said he was offered to pay 33% of the S$646,219 (RM1.43mil) he owes Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and other ruling party members as a result of a defamation lawsuit they won against him.
