LOS ANGELES: A jury awarded US$15mil (RM57mil) on Friday to the children of a couple who died aboard a Singapore Airlines jetliner that crashed on a Taiwan runway in Oct 2000.
The judgment was the first jury verdict in a civil case brought against the airline in connection with the crash, which killed 83 people, said attorney Brian Panish, who represented the two children of Richard and Ching Ying Wu.
