MANILA: Security has been tightened ahead of the May 10 elections after police uncovered a bomb plot in the capital amid fears that terrorists plan to disrupt the vote, police said yesterday.
Police charged Quirino Bandon, 33, and Arjie Sama, 35, with possessing explosives and violating an election-related ban on weapons, a police statement said yesterday.
