JAKARTA: Indonesian police re-arrested radical Muslim imam Abubakar Ba'asyir moments after he stepped free from prison yesterday, and said he would be charged with the Bali bombings and other terror attacks.
Paramilitary police in riot gear fired tear gas and water cannon to disperse hundreds of rock-throwing supporters outside Salemba jail before Abubakar emerged after serving a sentence for immigration offences.
