JAKARTA: Indonesian police are set to re-arrest militant Muslim preacher and terror suspect Abubakar Ba'asyir after his jail term ends today, although the precise timing has not been decided, a police spokesman said.
The move will likely enrage supporters of the accused head of the al-Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiah network and also anger Muslim leaders and politicians who have accused the authorities of bowing to American pressure over Abubakar's case.
