YANGON: Myanmar's opposition said yesterday it was expecting its leader Aung San Suu Kyi to be freed “very soon” after the ruling junta reopened its headquarters closed a year ago during a political crackdown.
“We are hoping and expecting Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Tin Oo to be released very soon, but we do not know the actual date,” senior National League for Democracy (NLD) member Than Tun said.
