A GROWING number of people under 45 years old are suffering heart attacks and most of them are men, researchers from the National University Hospital (NUH) have found.
Tracking 2,450 people who were admitted to the NUH after a heart attack in the past four years, their study noted that the proportion of patients under 45 rose each year, from 10.8% of those admitted in 2000 to 15.8% last year.
