BANGKOK: About 200 passengers were evacuated from a trial run of the city's first mass transit subway system due to a brake malfunction blamed on human error, a Thai transportation spokesman said yesterday.
The emergency evacuation came on the third day of a six-day free public trial aimed at showcasing the US$2.5bil (RM9.5bil) first leg of the Thai capital's much anticipated new subway system.
