SEOUL: South Korea seems awfully quiet for a country about to hold a parliamentary election, but polls show huge numbers are likely to vote in what could be a close contest between the pro-government Uri Party and the opposition.
Thursday's election to the 299-member National Assembly comes just weeks after the impeachment of President Roh Moo-hyun, and Uri hopes to cash in on popular resentment against the opposition for the move.
