PHNOM PENH: Workers at three of Cambodia's poshest hotels went on strike yesterday to try to force their bosses to hand over most, if not all, of the 10% service charge added onto guests' bills.
In the latest episode of a 'tip spat' which has been running since December, gates were locked and sandbags brought out at the exclusive Hotel Le Royal, owned by Singapore-based Raffles Holdings, to keep out 50 chanting demonstrators.
