JAKARTA: President Megawati Sukarnoputri's party is trailing its main rival in the run-up to the general election but she narrowly leads the separate presidential race, according to an opinion poll released yesterday.
Among voters who have already made up their minds, only about 12% picked her Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle compared to 21.4% who chose Golkar – the political vehicle of former dictator Suharto.
