COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's peace process was thrown into further confusion yesterday with conflicting reports about a split in the Tamil Tiger rebel group.
The fate of efforts to end the 20-year war was cast into doubt in November when President Chandrika Kumaratunga sacked three government ministers after accusing Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe of offering the rebels too many concessions.
