BANGKOK: The bird flu virus tightened its grip on Asia yesterday as the toll from the disease rose to 13 with the death of a seven-year-old Thai boy, and China reported suspected outbreaks in two more provinces.
The boy from Suphan Buri province, a rural district west of the capital which has been badly hit by the disease, became the kingdom's fourth confirmed fatality, officials said.
