JAKARTA: The Asian bird flu epidemic may cost Indonesia nearly US$1bil (RM3.8bil) in losses and leave over a million people unemployed, government officials said.
Our country is facing huge losses from the bird flu crisis following import bans introduced last week by top buyers such as Japan, Sofyan Sudrajad, director-general of the Agriculture Ministry's animal husbandry department, said yesterday.
