RIYADH: The Saudi authorities are to test pilgrims for SARS and have worked out an integrated crowd control strategy to prevent deadly stampedes during the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, a newspaper reported yesterday.
Arab News also reported that pilgrims from areas hit by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome will be scanned with electronic thermal cameras to measure body temperature.
