HONG KONG: A mainland Chinese expert has suspended his hunt for a stray crocodile in Hong Kong that has eluded capture for over a month, saying the reptile was taking shelter from cold weather.
He Zhanzhao returned to neighbouring Guangdong province on Saturday evening after deeming it too cold for the croc to resurface anytime soon, said Chan Siu-keung, a local co-ordinator for He, yesterday.
