THAILAND has set up a “national command centre” for fighting and overcoming poverty over the next six years.
Three of the country’s six deputy prime ministers have been appointed to manage the centre. Gen Chavalit Yongchaiyudh would be its director while the other two – Somkid Jatusripitak and Chaturon Chaisang – have been named as deputy directors.
