HONG KONG: The authorities here, embarrassed after being given the swim-a-round by an escaped crocodile on the loose for more than a week, yesterday called in an Australian reptile expert to capture the beast.
The former British colony's fisheries chief, Thomas Chan, told reporters the Government had accepted an offer from a newspaper group to bring in Australian crocodile hunter John Lever later this week to catch the 1.2m reptile for free.
