BANGKOK: Thailand's hospitals are facing a financial crisis caused by the government's cut-price healthcare scheme which has left them without enough funds to buy medicines or supplies, officials said yesterday.
Kriengsak Vacharanukulkieti of the Rural Doctors Society said that of some 700 community hospitals, one in three was facing serious problems due to the “30 baht” (RM2.86) healthcare initiative.
