BEIJING: Nineteen firefighters were killed in a building collapse in central China, while one man who had been buried alive in the rubble was found and freed, an official said yesterday.
The death toll climbed throughout the day as rescue workers sifted through the site where an eight-storey building collapsed more than 48 hours earlier in Hunan province's Hengyang city.
