SINGAPORE and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, have teamed up for an international race to become the first American-sponsored centre outside the United States to research medicinal herbs.
The team has already got a foot in the door it has won a US$274,480 (RM1.04mil) planning grant which gives it two years to convince the National Centre for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, that such a centre should be located here.
