BANGKOK: Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra yesterday expressed “huge relief'' that the Apec summit ended without incident, and said the US$25mil (RM95mil) spent on the event was well worth it.
Exhausted after hosting world leaders including US President George W. Bush and China's Hu Jintao, Thaksin said he would go on vacation with his family after sending off the last of the dignitaries, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, early today.
