SEOUL: South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun sacked yesterday his home affairs minister who had been targeted in a no-confidence motion in parliament over his handling of anti-US protests.
Roh bowed to opposition demands to accept the resignation of trusted ally Kim Doo-Kwan, a 44-year-old former dissident, whose ministry controls the national police.
