SEOUL: More than 100 people were reported dead or missing yesterday as South Korea counted the cost of a typhoon that pummelled the country with the strongest winds since weather records began.
Emergency authorities said 84 people had died and 25 were missing after Typhoon Maemi hit southern provinces on Friday, triggering landslides and floods and plunging millions of people into darkness.
