BANGKOK: Two senior officers were among three Thai policemen killed yesterday by a gunman wanted in the deaths of other police in the restive Muslim-majority south, officials said.
Police Chief Sant Sarutanond said eight officers on patrol in Pattani early yesterday decided to investigate a suspicious building and were then fired on by a gunman inside, who killed one officer before fleeing the scene.
