HANOI, Vietnam (AP) - More than 200 Cambodian beggars were deported from southern Vietnam as part of a campaign to clean up the streets, a government official said Monday.
The 206 beggars from the Cambodian province of Svey Rieng were returned home Friday through the Cambodian consulate general in Ho Chi Minh City, said the official with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in Dong Nai province, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.
