Five injured as Typhoon Krovanh brushes past Hong Kong

HONG KONG (AP) - At least five people were slightly injured and some schools suspended classes as a typhoon brought heavy rain and strong winds to Hong Kong while moving toward the southern Chinese coast, officials said Monday.

Hong Kong weather officials lowered all typhoon warnings by 11:30 a.m. (0330 GMT), but said winds were still strong over offshore waters in the western part of Hong Kong.
