WOMEN who had Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) while they were pregnant have been asked to give birth at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital with full isolation precautions.
The Health Ministry said it sent out these instructions as “little is known about the possibility of SARS transmission from a fully recovered woman to her baby” and “there is a remote possibility that the baby might require specialised neonatal monitoring and care on delivery”.
