PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) - Prime Minister Hun Sen's party took an early lead in six constituencies as vote counting began Monday in general elections that were tainted by a grenade explosion and scattered reports of irregularities, independent monitoring groups said.
The Cambodian People's Party was leading in Phnom Penh municipality, Kampong Cham and Battambang provinces with about 40 percent of total votes counted, said Hang Puthea, director of the local election monitoring group Nicfec.
