TOKYO: In the latest of a string of gaffes by Japanese lawmakers, a Cabinet minister said yesterday he could not tell whether four abducted young girls were the victims or perpetrators in the bizarre incident.
I cannot tell well whether the four girls are the victims or the perpetrators, Yoshitada Konoike, state minister in charge of youth policy, told reporters.
