MANILA: Philippine police filed a criminal complaint yesterday against four guards over the escape of three terror suspects from a high-security detention centre as the manhunt extended across three countries.
The four police officers were charged with infidelity in the custody of the prisoners, laxity, gross negligence and neglect of duty for failing to guard the detainees, said Director Eduardo Matillano, head of a national police investigation unit.
