JAKARTA: An Indonesian cleric who is accused of leading the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) terror network said yesterday that Muslims must battle “infidels” who oppress their religion.
Abu Bakar Ba'asyir, defining the term jihad or holy war, told his treason trial that it means “waging war against infidels who oppress Muslims.”
