Portrayal of monks in TV series slammed

THE head of the Singapore Buddhist Federation has hit out at MediaCorp for portraying monks in a bad light in its latest drama serial, Holland V. 

Venerable Shi Ming Yi, secretary-general of the federation, cited two scenes from Episode 19 in which a monk was seen driving a Mercedes-Benz to attend a funeral.
